Mr Jonathan Lochhead

Mr Lochhead was trained predominantly in London and Oxford.
To date he has performed more than ten thousands intraocular procedures. These include cataracts, all manner of vitrectomy and intravitreal therapies.
He is familiar with the surgical treatment of all ophthalmic diseases of the retina in addition to non surgical laser treatments.
Mr Lochhead is involved in numerous research projects and has had more than thirty five scientific papers published in leading medical journals

Mr Javeed Khan

Mr Khan completed his higher surgical training in ophthalmology at the Royal Liverpool University Hospital and then did a further year of advanced subspecialty training in retinal diseases. During this period he was also involved in various research projects particularly in macular degeneration.
He then went to Aberdeen to undergo fellowship training in macular degeneration before moving to the Isle of Wight in 2008.
Previously, he spent two years at a remote town in Nepal to help run a charity eye hospital and performed a large number of cataract and other eye operations.
Mr Khan runs the macular degeneration service at St. Mary's hospital and is also the clinical lead for diabetic retinopathy and leads the research team in ophthalmology .He performs cataract surgery at St Mary's hospital and also privately through the Mottistone suite with audited outcomes better than the national standards.
Mr Khan lives in Ryde with his wife and two children.
